Public Advisory: No through road vehicular or pedestrian traffic at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on Wednesday 26 October 2022

25 October 2022: Bermuda Hospitals Board advises the public that there will be no through traffic on the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) campus between Point Finger and Berry Hill Roads on Wednesday 26 October 2022 from noon to 4pm.

A crane will be in the road outside the old Emergency Department lifting materials for service elevator renovation.

Emergency vehicles and people attending the Emergency Department should use the Point Finger Road entrance. Ambulances will enter and exit on Point Finger Road. KEMH and the visitor parking lots will still be accessible from both Point Finger Road (Acute Care Wing) and Berry Hill Road (General Wing and Agape House). Traffic will not be able to travel between the General Wing lobby roundabout and Berry Hill Road.

Pedestrians accessing the hospital from the Berry Hill Road side will be impacted. For your safety and the safety of others, please use caution and adhere to the barriers, signage and directions of the security officers.

Bermuda Hospitals Board apologises to the public for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.

Traffic disruptions at KEMH campus on Monday and Tuesday

Friday 6 March 2020: Bermuda Hospitals Board advises the public that there will be no through traffic between Point Finger Road and Berry Hill Road on the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) campus from 6am to 11am on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 March 2020.

A crane and flatbed will be stationed outside the old emergency to facilitate removal of an old and installation of a new air-handling unit.

During this period, emergency vehicles and people attending the Emergency Department should use the Point Finger Road entrance. Ambulances will enter and exit on Point Finger Road.

All KEMH parking lots will be accessible – the Acute Care Wing and Agape House from Point Finger Road and the General Wing from Berry Hill Road.

For your safety and the safety of others, please use caution and adhere to the barriers, signage and directions of security officers.

Bermuda Hospitals Board Traffic Advisory

16 October 2017: In order to install a new well pump Bermuda Hospitals Board (BHB) Engineering Services will be re-routing traffic on the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital campus on Wednesday 18 October. Starting at midnight on Tuesday 17 October there will be no through traffic from the Berry Hill Road entrance to the General Wing main entrance and Point Finger Road.

Vehicular traffic will be able to access the General Wing main entrance for drop off and pick up via the Point Finger Road entrance. These vehicles will be routed back to Point Finger Road to exit.

Pedestrian traffic will not be impacted by the work but bike parking will be reduced as several bays will be cordoned off.

The work is slated to start at 7am and be completed by 1pm. BHB apologises to the motoring public for any inconvenience the re-routing may cause.
