Hospitals Launch New Web Site

New Site Designed to be Community Resource for Health and Careers Information

The Bermuda Hospitals Board today launched its new and improved web site, www.bermudahospitals.bm. The website is designed to be a resource to the community, making information more readily available and communications easier. The new site has been revamped to provide easier navigation, more interesting features, and to better portray the quality of care patients receive at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and St. Brendan’s Hospital.

Among the new features found on www.bermudahospitals.bm are:

– An extensive listing of services offered by the hospitals, including a description of the service, location, hours of operation and contact information;
– A fully searchable and interactive Careers section where prospective employees can search, view and apply for new jobs;
– Up-to-date hospital news and publications;
– A calendar of Continuing Education and Continuing Medical Education activities for physicians and healthcare professionals in the hospital and in the community.

“We invite the public to explore our new web site and let us know what they think via the online feedback form,” said Joan Dillas-Wright, Chief Executive Officer of the Bermuda Hospitals Board. “We’re very excited about the new site because it allows us to readily share information with the community about our programmes and services. As the island’s only hospitals, it’s very important that we’re able to do this in real time.”

The new web site is part of the Bermuda Hospitals Board’s organizational review implementation plan, whose goal is to ensure that the hospitals are equipped to succeed in today’s changing healthcare climate.
