Bermuda Hospitals Board Announces Search for New CEO is Underway

Joan Dillas-Wright Scheduled to Retire in December 2005

The Bermuda Hospitals Board is recruiting for the position of Chief Executive Officer, with advertisements appearing in local newspapers and international media in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. As previously announced, Joan Dillas-Wright, the hospitals’ current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), is scheduled to retire in December 2005.

“Mrs. Dillas-Wright is providing vision and leadership to the Bermuda Hospitals Board, and will continue to do so until the end of her term in December 2005,” said Jonathan Brewin, Chairman of the Bermuda Hospitals Board. “We are very pleased with the progress that Mrs. Dillas-Wright has made and continues to make at the hospitals, and are looking for a candidate who will build on these successes.”

The Bermuda Hospitals Board’s Succession Committee is responsible for the CEO recruitment process. The new CEO will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and St. Brendan’s Hospital.

The Bermuda Hospitals Board will make an announcement once a candidate has been selected for the CEO position.
