KEMH driveway to close between Point Finger Road and Main Lobby from Monday 2 May 2011

Bermuda Hospitals Board would like to inform motorists and pedestrians that the main entrance driveway from Point Finger Road to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital will close from this Monday, 2 May. The Berry Hill entrance driveway remains open and will provide access to the emergency room, visitors’ parking lot and main lobby roundabout.

Pedestrians will be able to access KEMH from Point Finger Road through an alternative route. A new sidewalk has been constructed at the south end of the construction site. This route comes through the round trellised garden in the Botanical Gardens opposite KEMH’s main lobby.

Paget Health Services, BHB’s private partner, is in the process of building a new access road to KEMH from Point Finger Road, which is expected to open in several weeks. PHS apologises for this inconvenience and will restore an entrance driveway from Point Finger Road as soon as possible. BHB thanks the public for their patience as the KEMH site is redeveloped.
